Kissena Velodrome
Went with Karl to the Kissena Velodrome. Borrowed a bike. Had fun:
Some thing new and fun -- first time ever on a Fixie, figured it out in a few laps -- then a set of three super short races...
Seams a great & fun way to work on my sprinting ability.
D2R2 2010 coming up soon!
I am going to do this ride or Deerfield Dirt Road Randonee for the 4th time now, it's not a race, but timed at check points. One of the most fun and in multiple special ways one of the most demanding rides I have seen.
Here is some of the latest 2010 infos. Very well supported on the way, before and after.

Some notes on the food supplies.
Our style is in the spirit of old-school randonneuring - a tendency to keep moving, but no shyness when it's time to eat.
1st Kreb's Friday Night Race
Friday, work took a bit more time Friday night then I liked, but just managed to get last minute to sign in. Meeting the only other GAB Karl, who was surprised to see me, as I almost resigned in previous Email update.
Connecticut stage race weekend
Here is my report:
http://pyzahl.blogspot.com/2010/06/connecticut-stage-race-weekend-asking...
Misery misery, but good misery
After day day of poring rain and flooded roads at least the rain stopped. 7am in the morning, thick fog or mist, big drops of water falling off trees, huge puddles every where, new pot holes or disintegrating road surfaces combined with sand washed all over. Not the kind of inviting morning for a cycle commute, but I some what felt I had to go out. Besides of the misery of a wet sandy mess building up on my self and the bike, everything was fine and no flat :-)
Looking forward to clearing up sky and the We nite hill ride.
